This information is used to help make the site more useful to visitors, and to learn about the number of visitors and the types of technology visitors use.

Web Site Security

Physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards are in place to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, to preserve data integrity, and to ensure the appropriate use of information you may provide through e-mail. At the same time, it is possible that a security breach may occur.

For general web site security purposes and to ensure that our site remains available to all users, we employ software programs to monitor network traffic to identify both authorized and unauthorized attempts. This monitoring is related, in part, to attempts to upload or change information or otherwise cause damage. Use of our site constitutes consent to such monitoring. Unauthorized attempts to upload information and/or change information on this web site are strictly prohibited and are subject to legal action.

Public Disclosure

Government records in Florida, generally, are public in nature. The public policy of the State of Florida as established by the Legislature is that "all state, county, and municipal records are open for personal inspection and copying by any person."
Florida Public Records Law states that public records are documents, papers, letters, maps, books, tapes, photographs, films, sound recordings, data processing software or other material, regardless of physical form, characteristics, or means of transmission, made or received pursuant to law or ordinance or in connection with the transaction of official business by the Agency, which are used to perpetuate, communicate or formalize knowledge. For information to be confidential or exempt from public inspection, a specific provision must exist in the law.

E-mail

Under Florida law, e-mail addresses are public records. If you do not want your e-mail address released in response to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity. Instead, contact this office by phone or in writing.
Further, unless an exemption in law applies, the content of emails sent to AST (including attachments) will likely constitute public records.  As such, please exercise due care when deciding what information to transmit or email to the AST.

"Temporary" or "session" cookies are used on all AST web site pages. These cookies are stored in memory and are only available during an active browser session.
